Overview

Description of Project:
The Alliance has a nonprofit management certificate program called Excellence in Action. Over the last decade, over 400 organizations and 150 individuals have gone through our certification program. In recent days we have received major commitments for increased support from some of the largest foundations in MS that will skyrocket this certification to heights we only dreamed of. So, that means it is time for a re-branding. Currently, nobody likes the look of the logo or the actual certification seal. It doesn’t send the professional message that we are hoping to have.

This new logo and seal will be seen and used on:
– our website and promotional materials
– hundreds of websites of those who are certified
– dozens of websites of some of the most important funders in MS
– certificates of recipients
This program has been a cornerstone of our work, and it is time for our brand to reflect that. We need help.

Desired Outcomes:
A new logo that can be used on training and marketing material
A new certification seal/ribbon that can be used on certificates and websites

Timeline:
Our next training program is set to launch in late April, so it would be great to have this before then. I imagine we would need time for reviews and feedback in there as well.

General Comment:
Here is a link to the webpage about the program. It might be good for folks working on this to explore the webpage and larger website to get a sense of our look and feel. We just launched this new website, so it is very reflective our the type of brand we are establishing.

I LOVE creative and out-of-the-box ideas, and the entire team is open-minded to new approaches. If designers want to try something that isn’t so cookie-cutter, that is 100% OK. However, we are also OK sticking with structures that are somewhat similar to what we have now (such as a seal). All this is to say, I care more about having a great product that we are proud of than a preconceived notion of what that must look like; it is more about the function.
